CDC Conference Call on ME/CFS/SEID Monday 3pm EST

This looks like a pretty interesting conference call. It is going to be available to anyone, apparently. It looks as though Stanford is hosting it. It will be about the current state of research on chronic fatigue syndrome. Dr. Jose Montoya will lead it. 

As some of you may know, Dr. Montoya contends that a lot of what we call Lyme disease is caused by viruses rather than bacteria. He treats with antiviral drugs rather than antibiotic drugs. A Lyme doctor of mine once said that when comparing notes with Dr. Montoya, their patients' symptoms seemed identical. Is a pretty well-known fact that many people with Lyme disease and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome have both high bacterial and high viral titers. So it is a little unclear what the causative microbes are and what the opportunistic microbes are.
